Your data lives in your Google. We don’t keep it.

• We use your Google sign-in to identify you and connect to your Drive.
• We store a minimal account record and an encrypted token so you stay signed in. The actual work lives in your Google.
• We never store student work, grades, or rosters. We don’t read your Google Classroom or any roster.
• We don’t sell your data, show you ads, or use your data to train AI models.
• You can sign out or revoke Curator’s access at any time.

• Your Google identity (name, email, profile picture, account ID)
  To sign you in and show you your own account. We use Google's stable account ID as your user key; we never look other people up by email.
• Google Drive — files Curator creates or you pick (drive.file)
  To create the folders, the lesson-plan Google Docs, and your Standards Log Sheet that Curator keeps in your own Drive — the standards-organized record of the lesson plans you build. This is a per-file permission: Curator can only see files it created or that you explicitly choose. It cannot read the rest of your Drive, and it needs no separate Sheets permission.

Curator keeps only what it needs to connect you to your Google and organize your work:

• Account record
  Your Google account ID, email, name, profile-picture URL, account type (personal or Workspace), and last sign-in time.
• Authorization
  An encrypted Google refresh token and the list of permissions you granted, so you stay signed in and Curator can act on your behalf without re-asking each time.
• Your classes
  The classes you create and name inside Curator (a label and grade band) so your lesson plans have a home. These are local to Curator — not pulled from Google.
• Organization metadata
  For each lesson plan you build: its title, which standards (and, as a lens, which Portrait quadrant) you tagged it with, and the IDs of the Drive folder, lesson-plan Doc, and Standards Log Sheet we created for it. The plan's contents live in your Google Drive Doc, not with us.
• In-progress build drafts
  While you're building a lesson plan, we save the draft so you can start on one device and finish on another. It holds what you've entered so far and is cleared once the finished plan lands in your Drive.
• Activity log
  A record of actions you take (sign in, create a class, build or tag a lesson plan) for security and support.

We do not store student names, student work, grades, rosters, or the contents of your Drive files. Your lesson plans, folders, and any record we help you build live in your Google account, under your control.

• Sign out to clear your session. Your Google grant remains until you revoke it.
• Revoke access at any time at your Google account permissions. After that, Curator can no longer reach your Google data.
• Delete your data yourself in Curator: open Settings and choose “Delete my account.” We remove your account record and your encrypted token right away. You can also email support@startcurating.com and we’ll do it for you. Anything in your Google (folders, lesson-plan Docs, any Sheet) stays yours — delete it in Google when you like.

How long we keep things. We keep your account record and encrypted token until you delete your data or revoke access. If an account sits unused, we purge it automatically after 18 months of inactivity. Your activity log is kept for 12 months. Server request logs are kept for up to 30 days by our host, then rotated out.
